Royal Caribbean has revealed its new private island destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay, promising to revolutionise private destinations in the travel industry. The resort features 13 waterslides, the Caribbean's largest wave pool, and an Adventure Pool with a family-friendly obstacle course.
An exclusive video shows the island's yellow signage on white sandy beaches, aerial views of the waterpark, and guests enjoying a hot air balloon or zip wire. Families can ride the slingshot raft, while thrill-seekers try the Duelling Demon and Screeching Serpent slides. Others relax on sun loungers or under blue and white umbrellas.
Michael Bayley, President and CEO of Royal Caribbean International, said the company is proud to bring its 50-year legacy of innovation ashore. “Our guests truly are in for an experience unlike any other,” he added.
The announcement follows the recent reveal of Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas' new onboard feature, The Blaster, the world's longest waterslide at sea. The ride propels a two-person raft through over 800 feet of hills and drops, including a section extending over the ship's side.
