Princess Cruises has announced plans to build three new mega cruise ships, the largest in its fleet, as part of a new class named 'Voyager'. The vessels will be constructed at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy, with deliveries scheduled for late 2035, 2038 and 2039 respectively, bringing the total fleet size to 20.
Each ship will be 183,000 gross tonnes and accommodate approximately 4,700 guests, surpassing the size of Sun and Star Princess, which launched in 2024 and 2025 at 175,500 gross tonnes with capacity for 4,310 guests. The new ships will be dual-fuel powered, primarily by liquefied natural gas, similar to their predecessors.
While few features have been revealed, Princess Cruises stated the vessels will combine the line's 'most desired and highest-rated experiences' alongside 'completely reimagined outer decks, staterooms and Piazza designs' tailored to global travellers and diverse deployments.

These new orders secure a robust workload for our shipyards through 2039 and further support the profitable development of our cruise business.'
