Roach wrote: 'Dear @Delta I'm Delta #60 and a Million Miler. This morning I paid for a Delta One seat from NYC to LA and when I got on the plane it was not a lay flat seat. I was very disappointed.' He was referring to Delta One, a premium service advertised with 'spacious lie-flat seats' on long-haul routes, though the airline's website includes a disclaimer noting seat configurations may vary by aircraft.

The post quickly went viral, sparking a wave of negative responses from users who labelled Roach as 'tone deaf' and 'out of touch'. They apologised to Roach and confirmed their Customer Care team is addressing the issue directly. The spokesperson emphasised the change was made to ensure an on-time departure.
