British tourist Chris, 34, captured a 'manic race' for sunbeds at a hotel in Salou, Spain, on June 24. Over 40 tourists rushed to reserve prime spots around the pool after queuing for an hour before the 9am opening.
Daily Ritual
Chris, from Glasgow, Scotland, observed sun-seekers lining up at the doors each day of his week-long holiday. He said tourists would dash out, reserve a sunbed with towels and belongings, then head back inside for breakfast.
Amusing but Unfair
Chris found the spectacle amusing but felt it was unfair that nobody else could get a sunbed for the rest of the day. He said: 'It was a manic race and scramble for the sunbeds. I don't judge but found it funny so had to film it. Some people just rolled out their bed, queued up, mad-dashed to secure the bed then went back to their rooms or off for breakfast. It doesn't leave room for those who don't queue for an hour.'
