Lodge Park Megève: Rustic chic in a French ski resort

Lodge Park, a five-star boutique hotel in the heart of Megève, reopened in December 2025 following a year-long transformation. The hotel now features 28 luxurious suites and a Longevity Spa, described as the first of its kind in the region.

Rustic charm in a historic Alpine town

Megève, founded by Benedictine monks in the 13th century, has been an exclusive ski destination for a century after being chosen by Baroness Noémie de Rothschild to be developed into one of France's first winter sport resorts. The town's cobbled streets and wooden chalets with flowery balconies retain a sense of timelessness.

Lodge Park is just a few minutes' walk from a gondola that provides access to 325km of scenic, tree-lined slopes. The hotel was acquired in 1996 by the Sibuet family, who own several luxury properties in Megève, including the 70-room Les Fermes de Marie, Mont Blanc Hotel, and the mountain restaurant Le Relais des Fermes.

Rooms, dining, and spa

The hotel's 29 suites and rooms blend Ralph Lauren fabrics, Brin Emperador marble bathrooms, and rich natural textures. Dressing rooms are generously proportioned, with private balconies for quiet moments beneath the night sky.

The Beef Lodge restaurant showcases exceptional cuts from fine farms, including Japanese Wagyu, Black Angus, and Simmental. Head Chef Christophe Cote uses wood-fired smoking, cooking each cut over low temperatures for over 70 hours, then finishing in an Argentine oven. Dishes are paired with vintages from Domaine de Marie and a curated wine list.

The Lodge Bar offers cocktails such as the signature Moscow Mule, Haute Altitude (Mont Blanc gin, apple juice, fresh mint, and basil), and Chartreuse chocolate, served in decorative Tiki glasses. Dinner at Les Fermes de Marie is also recommended, with dishes like Grenoblaise-style turbot with watercress mashed potatoes and Charolais beef fillet.

Spa and practical details

The Longevity Spa, described as a "biohacking sanctuary", offers advanced therapies including cryotherapy, hyperbaric oxygen, cryolipolysis, photobiomodulation, and bespoke naturopathy consultations. Facilities include a 12-metre indoor pool, infrared sauna, hammam, Kneipp bath, ice room, and dedicated recovery areas.

Lodge Park reopens on December 4, 2025, with rates starting from £695 including breakfast. The most convenient airport is Geneva, with return flights from London City Airport with Swiss Air from around £170. The transfer from Geneva to Megève is about one hour 15 minutes. Ski equipment can be hired at Chamois Sports for around £330 for seven days, and a six-day ski pass for the Évasion Mont-Blanc area (covering 400km of pistes) can be booked online for about £245.
