Jet2 has announced details of its 'once-in-a-lifetime' trips to Iceland direct from Newcastle International Airport. The airline has launched its 2027/28 winter programme, with flights and city breaks now on sale.
Iceland, packed with natural wonders and home to a compact, culture-filled capital city, is positioned as the ultimate winter getaway. Customers can look forward to chasing the Northern Lights, soaking in the geothermal waters of the Blue Lagoon, and exploring the dramatic Golden Circle, South Shore, and volcanic landscapes.
Programme dates and routes
The programme runs from October 4 to December 6, 2027, before resuming from January 28 to April 24, 2028. Flights are also available from Birmingham, Bournemouth, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, and Manchester.

Newcastle services and Reykjavik appeal
Two weekly services will run from Newcastle Airport on Mondays and Fridays from October 22 to November 15, 2027, February 18 to February 28, 2028, and April 7 to April 24, 2028, with flights timed for key school holiday periods.
Reykjavik adds to the experience with striking architecture, lively bars and cafés, a thriving food scene, and plenty of local character.
