Jet2 is launching two new winter sun routes from Leeds Bradford Airport, alongside a new city break service, as part of a major expansion of its Winter 26/27 schedule. The airline will fly from the North East hub to Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada in Egypt, as well as to Tallinn, Estonia.
New routes from Leeds Bradford
The two Egyptian destinations offer warm sunshine, comfortable sightseeing weather, and good Red Sea water conditions during the winter months, without the extreme heat of summer. Air temperatures in Egypt average between 22°C and 26°C from December to February, while Red Sea water temperatures stay around 22°C to 24°C, making conditions suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and diving.
Flights to Tallinn will take visitors to the Estonian capital, which is centred around the UNESCO Old Town of Vanalinn. There, travellers can walk through cobblestone streets lined with 14th- and 15th-century pastel buildings, medieval defence towers, and gothic spires.
Winter 26/27 expansion
The new Leeds Bradford routes are part of 34 brand-new routes introduced from UK airports for Winter 26/27, covering winter sun, city break, ski, and Christmas market getaways. Several UK airports will now have Jet2 links to Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada, as well as new routes to Morocco, La Palma, and Madeira.
A new city break and Christmas markets destination has been added in the form of Strasbourg, alongside new routes to festive favourites such as Gdansk, Copenhagen, Vienna, Cologne, and Tallinn. Additional ski routes have been launched to Alpine destinations including Grenoble, Turin, Geneva, Salzburg, Innsbruck, and Chambery.
Capacity and demand
In total, Jet2 has 6.3 million seats on sale to 42 destinations for Winter 26/27, which is over half a million more seats than in Winter 25/26 and represents an 8.7% capacity increase. The airline is also operating its first winter season from London Gatwick Airport.
