Interrail has launched a flash sale offering discounts of up to 50% on rail travel across 33 European countries. The promotion is available to book now until October 1 at 9am UK time.
The rail operator offers two main types of passes: One Country, which allows train travel within a single European country, and Global, which provides unlimited travel across the rail networks of all 33 countries. Both pass types can be purchased in Continuous or Flexi formats, with Continuous allowing travel on every day of the validity period and Flexi permitting a set number of travel days within a wider timeframe.
How much can you save?
The largest discounts apply to Global Continuous Passes lasting one, two, or three months, with Interrail offering 50% off. For travellers aged 12 to 27, a month-long pass costs £227 instead of £454. Adults aged 28 to 59 pay £303 instead of £606. Global Continuous Passes for 15 and 22 days are discounted by 15%, as are Global Flexi Passes.
For example, a four-day-in-a-month Flexi pass now costs £157 for youths, down from £184, and £209 for adults, down from £246. One Country Passes also receive 15% off, with prices varying by destination. Some youth passes can be as low as £71 for four days of travel in a month, such as the Greek Islands Pass. No discount code is required, as the discount is applied automatically at checkout.
When can you travel?
No set travel dates are attached to the promotional passes. Mobile passes must be activated within 11 months of purchase, allowing buyers to choose a start date up to 11 months later. Passes purchased under the promotion are 100% refundable within 7 days of purchase but become strictly non-refundable and non-exchangeable after that period.
