The Ultimate Family Townhouse on board Royal Caribbean's Legend of the Seas is a three-storey suite with its own cinema, slide, hot tub and popcorn machine, and it can cost up to $150,000 (approximately £110,000) per week.
The suite, described as “much more than a place to stay”, sleeps up to eight guests and includes three full bathrooms, a dining room and kitchenette, a cinema with a large day-bed, an in-suite slide, a wrap-around terrace with hot tub, direct access to Surfside from the private patio and its own popcorn machine.
Price tag and inclusions
The room reportedly costs between $75,000 and $100,000 per week (approximately £55k-£73k), which works out at around £9.2K per person for the sailing when divided by eight. Depending on the time of year, the price can reach as high as $150,000 (approximately £110,000).
It is the only suite of its kind on the icon-class ship and includes everything on the ship, meaning guests do not pay for add-ons.
Features and design
On approach, the room features bright and bold colours, a hopscotch on the floor and a flamingo post box. The attention is immediately drawn to the slide in the middle of the main living space, which was shut off during the tour, but the stairs were just as cool - they are piano stairs that play a tune as guests walk up each step.
The rooms were themed and luxurious, with the master bedroom featuring a luxurious en-suite bathroom with products from Malin + Goetz. The shark-themed cinema includes a large day bed, comfy chairs and two large shark plushies.
Entertainment for families
In the dining room, there is a giant interactive table for playing games, and the room is decorated with multiple Squishmallow chairs. There is also a Harry Potter and Hunger Games book collection, perfect for reading nooks looking out at the sea view.
Sailings on Legend of the Seas start from £1,416 based on two adults sharing an interior stateroom, sailing on a 7-night Western Mediterranean Cruise.
