A Birmingham-based traveller has claimed that Llandudno, a seaside resort on the North Wales coast, is one of the most charming coastal towns in the UK.
In a recent TikTok video, the holidaymaker shared clips from her visit, writing at the start: "Is this UK's most charming coastal town?" She went on to showcase the town's attractions, including the Great Orme Tramway, colourful homes, a pebble beach, and the famous pier.
A 'hidden gem' on the Great Orme
The traveller described the Great Orme Tramway as a "hidden gem you can't miss," adding: "After living in six different countries, I've seen many views, but this one is truly special." The video showed the tram going uphill with views of the sea and town in the background, though she opted to walk up the hills to the limestone headland.
She wrote in the caption: "At the summit, the views of the Irish Sea and the Llandudno coastline are simply breathtaking - one of the best viewpoints in Wales."
Llandudno's appeal to visitors
Llandudno is the largest and most popular Victorian seaside resort in North Wales, known for North Shore Beach and 19th-century Llandudno Pier, which features shops and a games arcade. The Great Orme headland juts into the sea northwest of the town.
Commenters on the video echoed her praise. One person said: "I love Llandudno, if I had the money that's where I would live." Another wrote: "I went last year.
