Taskers in Aintree, Liverpool, has been transformed into Taskerville, an immersive Grinch-inspired Christmas wonderland that officially launches on November 4. Located an hour from Manchester and minutes from the East Lancashire Road, the store promises to transport visitors 'into the colourful and mischievous world of Whoville' with elaborate themed scenes, oversized decorations, multiple photo opportunities and a giant Grinch welcoming visitors outside.
Festive attractions and food village
Before stepping through the doors, visitors will find an eight-foot outdoor Christmas tree in the car park for the first time. In the courtyard, 1958 Bistro by The Bus Yard will create a full festive food area, serving Christmas specials, seasonal food and warming hot drinks. Christmas markets will also form part of the festive experience, while inside, Taskers' complete Christmas collection will be available, featuring everything from trees and decorations to festive homeware and seasonal finishing touches.
Free Santa visits every Thursday
Every Thursday evening from November 12 to December 10, Santa Claus will be in the courtyard between 5.30pm and 7.30pm, where families can meet him and take their own photos without paying or booking a slot. Oliver Tasker, director of Taskers, said: "Christmas at Taskers is incredibly special to us because we know it has become part of so many families' traditions. We have generations of customers who come back every year to see what we've created, and that makes us want to make each Christmas even more memorable."
Tasker added: "This year we've completely transformed the store with our Taskerville takeover. From the giant Grinch outside to the oversized decorations and all of the detail within the different scenes, there is so much for families to discover and plenty of opportunities to stop, take photographs and make memories together."
Six-figure investment in the experience
Tasker noted the store has made a significant six-figure investment into Christmas, with the aim of making a visit feel like an experience in itself. "You don't have to spend anything to come and enjoy the displays, and Santa will also be joining us completely free of charge every Thursday evening in the run-up to Christmas," he said. "With The Bus Yard bringing festive food and drinks outside, our Christmas markets, the new outdoor tree and everything happening inside the store, we really want people to be able to come along and make an occasion of it."
Tasker concluded: "We can't wait to welcome everyone into Taskerville and see their reaction to what we've created this year."
