Glasgow's oldest pub, Sloans, is offering a weekly movie-and-dinner experience for £30 per person, combining a film screening, a drink on arrival, a main course, dessert and a portion of popcorn.
Dating back to 1797, the venue hosts EatFilm every Tuesday evening, an over-18s event where guests can watch a classic film while food and drinks are served. The screening changes weekly, and the event is described as "a night at the movies with a difference that doesn't break the bank."
What the £30 ticket includes
The ticket covers a movie screening, a drink on arrival, a main and dessert, and popcorn. For mains, guests can choose between a cluck free burger, nachos or Sloans' legendary macaroni, with some extra toppings available for £2. The burger and macaroni come with skinny fries.
Customers can add a side of garlic bread or onion rings for an extra £5. Desserts include a Biscoff sundae or a warm chocolate chip cookie with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream. Drinks options are a glass of wine, selected bottles of beer or a soft drink, and popcorn can be topped up for £1.
Upcoming screenings and festive events
Sloans has additional film screenings on other days of the week. The next event is a screening of Dirty Dancing on Monday, November 2 at 5:30pm, with tickets still available via the Sloans website.
Upcoming EatFilm movies for November include Practical Magic on November 3, Legally Blonde on November 8, The Nightmare Before Christmas on November 10, The Greatest Showman on November 15, The Rocky Horror Picture Show on November 16 and Grease on November 17.
For the festive season, a range of Christmas films will be screened, and Sloans is adding a child's ticket priced at £21 for these events, making EatFilm a potential family day out.
Customer reviews

Another film lover added: "The pub itself has a great atmosphere and I would recommend attending one of their Eat Film nights if you can make it. Great value and a different wee night out to the normal dinner or pictures."
However, one person left a mixed review: "The idea of EatFilm is amazing! And I love the food too! However I think the selection of the film could be better. Other than that, no complaints. Great place for a date."
