Manchester Airport is expecting its busiest summer on record, with more than 5.7 million passengers due to fly into or out of the northern travel hub between Friday, July 17 and the end of the holidays on September 1.
That works out at more than 120,000 passengers per day, following a record-breaking June that saw over three million travellers pass through the airport.
While many people have already booked their trips, last-minute bargains are still available. The airport shared holiday deals last week, and more could appear. Being flexible with dates and looking outside popular tourist areas can help secure a cheaper holiday, and monitoring prices closely means grabbing a bargain quickly when one appears.
Those flying from Manchester this summer are urged to stick closely to security rules, and anyone travelling is advised to monitor the status of their flight.
