Expedia has identified the most cost-effective dates for spring travel, advising that early March and late April offer the best deals for international trips. According to the travel giant's data, March 3 was the cheapest day for international stays, while April 24 offers lower airfares and April 27 provides cheaper accommodation compared to market averages.
Travellers are urged to avoid the Easter period, particularly April 2 and 3, which are the busiest and most expensive dates for international stays. The quietest travel dates are April 28 and May 31, offering less crowded destinations and more competitive prices.
Melanie Fish, spokesperson for Expedia Group brands, said: "Brits are planning spring with purpose this year, securing guaranteed sunshine, squeezing more culture into long weekends and rediscovering the joy of a cosy holiday home rental in the Cotswolds or the Caribbean coastlines." She added that using the right dates to avoid peak times is a great money-saving hack.
Expedia also shared tips for 2026, noting that Friday is the cheapest day to fly and Sunday is best for booking tickets. International flights should be booked 15 to 30 days in advance for optimal results.
Separately, Loveholidays named Agadir, Morocco, as the most budget-friendly destination for a week-long holiday, with all-inclusive stays starting at £230.
