EasyJet Launches £40 Flights to Greece's 'Unspoiled' Preveza from Manchester
EasyJet's new £40 flights to unspoiled Greek town

British holidaymakers have a new affordable gateway to the Greek sunshine, as budget airline EasyJet announces two new summer routes from Manchester Airport for 2026.

New Sunshine Routes for Summer 2026

The carrier is expanding its Manchester operations with new services to Montpellier in southern France and Preveza on mainland Greece, providing Northern travellers with more Mediterranean options. Seats are already on sale for both destinations, with travellers able to secure their summer getaway well in advance.

The Montpellier route will commence operations on 30 March 2026, operating on Mondays and Fridays throughout the summer season. Fares for the French connection start from an attractive £34.99.

Meanwhile, the Greek adventure begins slightly later, with the Preveza service launching on 24 June 2026 and flying on Wednesdays and Sundays. Budget-conscious travellers can reach this Ionian gem for fares starting from £40.99.

Discovering Greece's Hidden Gem

Preveza, situated in the Epirus region at the mouth of the Ambracian Gulf, offers what many describe as an unspoiled Greek experience away from mass tourism crowds. The town boasts stunning views over the Ionian Sea and is renowned for its abundance of excellent beaches.

Though less discovered than many Greek hotspots, Preveza comes alive during summer months when its port fills with luxury yachts and the street cafés buzz with holidaymakers. Visitors can enjoy:

  • A charming seaside esplanade perfect for evening strolls
  • A pedestrianised town centre ideal for leisurely shopping
  • Colourful tavernas serving local specialities including fresh seafood
  • Shaded alleyways in the cute old quarter

The town serves as the primary air gateway for exploring the wider region, including the popular island of Lefkada and the picturesque resort town of Parga.

EasyJet's Continued Expansion

Kevin Doyle, EasyJet's UK country manager, emphasised the airline's commitment to affordable travel, stating: "In our 30th year, we're still as committed as ever to making travel easy and affordable for our customers in the UK."

This expansion continues EasyJet's growth at Manchester Airport, where the airline launched several new routes last summer including services to Izmir, Kalamata, Larnaca, Madrid and Rennes. The carrier now operates 23 aircraft from Manchester, connecting the North-West with 88 routes throughout the UK, Europe and North Africa.

With these latest additions, EasyJet strengthens its position as a key provider of European connectivity from Northern England, offering Manchester-based travellers even more choice for their summer holidays in 2026.
