EasyJet has announced a new route from Newcastle Airport to Larnaca in Cyprus, with flights scheduled to take off in summer 2027. The service will connect Tyneside with the Mediterranean city, known for its beaches, seafront and the nearby Salt Lake.
Expansion from Newcastle base
The new route follows the launch of EasyJet's base at Newcastle Airport in March 2026. Since then, the airline has more than quadrupled its network from the airport, with nine additional services taking off this winter to Barcelona, Berlin, Copenhagen, Fuerteventura, Hurghada, Krakow, Marrakech, Reykjavík and Rovaniemi.
Kevin Doyle, EasyJet's UK Country Manager, said: "We're delighted to be offering another route and packages for customers in the North East from their local airport to Larnaca in Cyprus. We're proud to have more than quadrupled our destination line up from Newcastle since launching our base in March 2026 giving travellers even more choice, convenience and great value for next summer to book and fly with ease."
