Couple's Airport Row Delays HK Express Flight by Nearly Two Hours

A flight from Da Nang, Vietnam, to Hong Kong was delayed by one hour and 40 minutes after a couple engaged in a heated argument in the departure lounge and the woman demanded to sit next to her partner, according to reports.

The incident occurred on November 2 on HK Express flight UO559. The woman reportedly accused her boyfriend of cheating and inappropriate behaviour, while he accused her of infidelity. She also claimed he had sexually assaulted her multiple times.

When the couple boarded the Airbus A320, they were seated in separate rows. The woman became agitated and demanded to be moved next to her boyfriend, but flight attendants said the seating could not be changed, triggering another outburst.

Dramatic footage shows the woman arguing with crew members. She allegedly pushed a flight attendant, and crew members stepped in to restrain her. After being warned she would be removed, she reportedly pushed the attendant a second time.

The couple was eventually removed from the cabin, allowing the flight to depart at 8:10pm local time, 40 minutes later than scheduled. The aircraft arrived at Hong Kong International Airport about 71 minutes behind schedule at 10:36pm.
