iGULU F2 smart homebrewing maker launches on Kickstarter

The iGULU F2, a next-generation smart homebrewing drink maker, has arrived on Kickstarter this month, allowing users to create a wide range of fresh beverages at home. From craft beer and cider to wine, mead, kombucha, kefir and sparkling drinks, the countertop machine is designed for both beginners and experienced creators.

Home brewing's rising appeal

Home brewing surged in popularity during Covid, and interest continues as the cost-of-living crisis hits and £7 pub pints become the norm. The F2 aims to tackle the barrier that brewing seems complicated, offering guided brewing, intelligent fermentation management, active heating and cooling, fresh tap dispensing and share-ready bottling in one connected system.

FermControl 3.0 and five brewing types

At the heart of the machine is FermControl 3.0, a fermentation engine that precisely manages temperature, pressure, oxygen control and timing to deliver stable, repeatable results across a wide variety of drink styles. With active heating and cooling from 2–40°C, the F2 adapts to seasonal conditions and supports fermentation needs year-round.

The F2 supports five brewing types: Craft Beer (lager, IPA, stout, wheat beer, saison and more), Orchard, Mead & Vine (cider, fruit wine, mead and sparkling wine), Living Culture (kombucha, kefir and other cultured drinks), Sparkling Creations (sparkling tea, coffee and mixed drinks), and Fermentation Lab (vinegar, rice wine, sake and advanced experiments).

Creator Mode and AI assistance

Users can begin with curated iGULU Brew Kits or switch to Creator Mode to customise flavours, adjust fermentation conditions and build original recipes. The F2 introduces RFID Recipe Cards, which instantly load verified recipes into the machine's operating system, and an AI Brewing Assistant that guides users through brew kits or custom recipe creation. Users can follow simple steps, monitor progress through the app, and let the machine manage brewing conditions automatically.

Once fermentation is complete, the F2 keeps drinks fresh and ready to pour for up to 30 days. With a standard 5L capacity (expandable to 10L with an optional module), quiet 40 dB operation, FDA-compliant materials and three-layer pressure protection, the F2 is designed for everyday use and long-term reliability. Its low-maintenance design includes replaceable tubing and a swappable bar-style tap handle.

Until October 31, early supporters can gain access to exclusive pricing starting from £498.
