Travel experts have crowned the best towns and villages to visit near Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, where both The Traitors and The Celebrity Traitors are filmed. The announcement comes as viewers await the grand finale of The Celebrity Traitors on Friday, October 30.
While the castle itself is only accessible to those who have exclusively hired the venue, nearby settlements offer the closest alternative for fans. On Thursday, October 22, SMC Coach Hire published a roundup of five locations in the region, judging them on places to eat, accommodation options, and ease of access.
Dingwall tops the list
The number one destination is Dingwall, a historic market town and former royal burgh in Easter Ross with a population of approximately 5,200. It is known for attractions such as Pefferside Park and the Dingwall Museum.

The spa village of Strathpeffer ranks fourth, located around 31 minutes from the castle by car, with four eateries and 14 accommodation options in a three-mile radius. Ardross itself rounds out the top five as the closest option for visitors wanting to get near the castle on foot, though SMC Coach Hire notes that accommodation is limited, with only two places to stay within three miles.
