AMC Launches Live Concert Screenings with Tickets up to $75

AMC Theaters is introducing a groundbreaking live experience for music enthusiasts by broadcasting concerts in cinemas across the United States. The world's largest theater chain announced on Tuesday a partnership with live entertainment company Arena One to bring live-streamed concert events to select local theaters.

First Live Concert Events Announced

The inaugural interactive, real-time concert events are scheduled for this summer: Bebe Rexha, known for her hit "I'm Good (Blue)," on June 17; Paris Hilton on June 18; Kim Petras, who rose to fame with "Unholy," on June 19; and country-pop star Maren Morris on June 20. Additional artists and dates are expected to be revealed later.

More than 300 AMC locations across 89 markets nationwide will host these concerts. Ticket prices range from $40 to $75, depending on the artist and market.

Technology Enhances Experience

According to the company, special sound technology will allow "crowd buzz, sound, and reactions" from the in-theater audiences to be transmitted to performers in real time during their shows.

Adam Aron, Chairman and CEO of AMC Entertainment, stated in a press release that this innovation will "open an entirely new chapter in live entertainment." He added, "Thanks to Arena One at AMC, music fans across the country will be able to come together for the same live concert, at the same time, all with the accessible premium experience of huge screens, powerful sound, and comfortable seats that AMC guests know and expect."

Peter Hamilton, CEO of Arena One, said, "We built a cinematic stage optimized to translate seamlessly to cinemas, but artists are defining what it becomes. They're not adapting tours; they're building something new. That's when a medium sparks reinvention."

Ticket Availability and Past Success

Tickets for the shared live concert experiences are now available on Arena One's website and the AMC Mobile App.

AMC has previously made notable moves to bring theatrical music experiences to cinemas. Following Taylor Swift's record-breaking Eras Tour, the chain partnered directly with her to release her concert movie, which achieved the biggest opening for a concert film to date. AMC also hosted a release party for her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, in all theaters nationwide during its opening weekend in October.

Additionally, AMC collaborated with Beyoncé to distribute Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé without studio involvement. The documentary, chronicling the superstar's 39-day Renaissance World Tour, earned $21 million in North American ticket sales during its opening weekend.
