A group of seven friends from Hull flew to Ibiza for a 24-hour holiday, partying through the night to avoid spending money on a hotel. Chloe Harmer, 21, and her six friends celebrated a 21st birthday with a quick trip to the Spanish island, returning to Manchester Airport the next day.
Cost-Cutting Travel Strategy
The group bought £90 return flights each, flying out at 12pm on May 20 and arriving at Ibiza Airport at 4pm local time. They prepared in the airport bathroom, left their backpacks in rental lockers, and headed to the popular club Pacha. Chloe, a social media manager, said: "It was literally so much fun. I was worried we might crash, but everyone was on such good form."
Itinerary and Activities
The friends woke at 6am to catch a train from Leeds to Manchester. After landing, they got matching tattoos, dined at Golden Buddha restaurant, and went bar hopping before heading to Pacha, where entry cost £18 each. They drank Monster Energy and vodka mixers until the club closed at 7am, then swam at the beach at sunrise.
Chloe said: "I was so surprised at how awake I felt. I thought for sure one of us would crash, but I think the energy drinks helped keep us alive." After brunch, they took an Uber to the airport at 10am and flew back at 12:30pm, sleeping on the plane. Chloe was home by 6:30pm, just 36 hours after leaving.
