A helicopter ride over Liverpool is available with 30% off until midnight tonight (September 30). The 12 Mile Themed Helicopter Flight for Two, originally priced at £209, is reduced to £145 on the Virgin Experiences website using the code 'PAY20'.
During the ride, the helicopter climbs over 1,000ft above the landscape and reaches speeds of over 120mph. It is described as a must for "any lovers of flight" or "for those who like heights".
What the experience includes
On arrival at the airfield or helipad, both passengers are met by the pilot and receive a short technical and safety briefing. The pilot puts the helicopter through its paces, and passengers "see views like never before" during the shared flight.
The voucher is valid for 12 months and is available at 59 locations, including Merseyside. The following guidelines apply:
- Minimum age: Six (under 12s must be accompanied by a paying adult)
- Minimum height: 5ft
- Maximum height: 6ft 6in
- Maximum weight: 30 stone combined weight of the two passengers
These are only guidelines and may differ by location, so shoppers should check at the time of booking.
Restrictions and additional costs
Participants should not take part if they suffer from epilepsy, vertigo or are pregnant. Those with any disability or illness that may prevent them from taking part must discuss this with the centre before booking. Spectators are welcome but views may be limited, and up to five other passengers will be on the flight.
Customers can request the release of their experience voucher once they have reached a maximum of five postponements. Due to a recent increase in aviation fuel, a surcharge of £5.00 is payable directly to the supplier on the day of the experience. The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary.
