One-way flights from Liverpool to Wroclaw are available from as little as £17, offering access to what travel specialists have called the "most underrated Christmas markets" in Europe. The Wrocław Christmas Market is set to open on Friday, November 20, 2026, and will run through until January 7, 2027.
On Thursday morning, Liverpool John Lennon Airport shared the travel tip on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting the Polish city as an option for those seeking one of Europe's best Christmas markets or a different city break to round off the year. The airport advised passengers to book flights with Ryanair.
A Vast Market in a Historic Setting
Travel specialists at Trip.com have previously praised Wrocław as having the "most underrated Christmas markets." They noted that while the market itself is vast in scale, the Polish city does not attract the same level of mainstream attention as comparable destinations such as Prague or the well-known German markets.
The festive event transforms Wrocław's historic Market Square (Rynek), spilling out into the surrounding streets and Plac Solny. Visitors can browse hundreds of traditional wooden stalls selling handmade Christmas decorations, one-of-a-kind gifts, and festive attractions. Food options include traditional Polish pierogi, Czech specialities, and Hungarian lángos, all beneath a glittering Christmas tree.
