Urgent Recalls: Ikea, Build-A-Bear, Baby Monitor

Urgent recall notices have been issued this week for several popular products sold across the UK. The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has warned customers about the affected items, urging anyone with them to stop using them immediately. Affected customers can contact retailers for a refund.

Build-A-Bear Toy

The Heartwarming Hugs Bear 2 with Zipper Closure has been recalled due to a choking risk. The OPSS warns: 'Stop using immediately.' The bear is a brown weighted plush with a zipped pouch containing a heart filled with ceramic beads that can be heated or cooled. It was sold between January 21 and March 6, 2026, with model number 434464. The OPSS stated: 'The product presents a risk of choking as it has been identified that the zipper on the bear’s pouch can detach, creating a small part.' Customers can call 0800 037 9782 or email ProductHotline@buildabear.com for a refund.

Ikea Garlic Press

Ikea has recalled its 365+ VÄRDEFULL Garlic press in black due to a manufacturing defect that may cause small metal fragments to break off into food. The affected batches carry article number 601.636.02 and date stamps from 2411 to 2522. Customers should stop using the product immediately and contact Ikea for a full refund.
