Swansea City sign winger Moussa Yeo in second summer deal

Swansea City have confirmed the signing of RB Salzburg winger Moussa Yeo for an undisclosed fee, marking the club's second addition of the summer transfer window.

New attacking option for Swans

The 22-year-old attacker becomes head coach Vitor Matos' second acquisition following the arrival of Stephen Welsh from Celtic on a free transfer. Swansea had identified the need for reinforcements on the flanks after the 2025/26 season, and Matos has moved quickly to bolster his options with Yeo's signature.

Yeo scored twice in 30 appearances last season for Salzburg, including a strike against Aston Villa in a 3-2 defeat in January. He also boasts experience in both the Europa League and Champions League.

Four-year deal and reunion with Matos

Yeo has signed a four-year contract with Swansea, with an option for an additional 12 months. He is expected to join his new teammates at Fairwood training ground immediately. Matos previously worked with Yeo at Red Bull Salzburg, and the head coach expressed his excitement about the reunion.

“Moussa is a player who will bring creativity, energy and versatility,” Matos said. “He can play more than one position and has good game understanding. I have worked with him before, and I know he will be an exciting player. He is a young player, but he has already been exposed to a really good level of football and we are confident he will be able to adapt to the physicality, the intensity and the amount of games in the Championship. He is a player who can help us to improve in an area of the pitch where we wanted to take a next step. Moussa joins us after performing well in all aspects of our recruitment process and we are very happy to have him with us.”

Further targets and departures

Matos is believed to be in the market for another winger before the transfer window closes, with Ronald, Eom Jisung and Zeidane Inoussa failing to secure regular starting roles last season. A left-back is also on the wanted list. Meanwhile, midfielder Ethan Galbraith's move to Stoke City is reportedly imminent, with a deal worth £10 million close to completion after just one season at Swansea.
