Real Madrid Denies Record £190m Bid for Bayern's Olise

Real Madrid have officially denied any contact or negotiations regarding a potential transfer for Bayern Munich and France winger Michael Olise. The Spanish giants released a statement on Saturday dismissing recent reports that they were preparing a record £190 million bid for the 24-year-old.

The statement read: "In response to reports in various media outlets regarding an alleged interest from our club in Bayern Munich player Michael Olise, Real Madrid CF wishes to state that it has not had any direct or indirect contact with the aforementioned player, his representatives, or anyone in his entourage."

Real Madrid Emphasises Institutional Respect

Real Madrid also highlighted the strong relationship between the two clubs, adding: "Real Madrid also wishes to highlight the excellent institutional relationship it maintains with Bayern Munich, with whom it shares a long history of mutual respect, collaboration and admiration, and regrets the spread of speculation that does not correspond to reality."

The club further stressed that any potential interest in a Bayern player would be handled directly between the clubs, in line with their tradition of institutional loyalty.

Olise's Stellar Form at Bayern

Olise joined Bayern Munich from Crystal Palace and has been in outstanding form. In his debut campaign, he scored 20 goals and provided 23 assists. Last season, he improved further with 22 goals and 31 assists. He remains under contract with Bayern until 2029.

Bayern CEO Max Eberl made the club's stance clear in April, stating: "Yes. We're not having a second to think about anything," when asked if they would consider selling Olise.

Olise's World Cup Campaign

Olise is currently representing France at the World Cup, where he has already made an impact. In France's 3-1 victory against Senegal, he provided two assists, helping the 2022 runners-up start the tournament strongly.
