iPhone Air Hits Record Low Price in Sky Mobile Summer Sale
iPhone Air at Lowest Ever Price in Sky Mobile Sale

Apple's iPhone Air has reached its lowest-ever price thanks to a new deal from Sky Mobile, which has slashed over £100 off the cost of the thinnest iPhone ever made. The promotion is part of an early summer sale, but shoppers should act quickly as the offer is limited.

Record Low Price for iPhone Air

The iPhone Air, launched in September alongside the iPhone 17 series, is now available from Sky Mobile at £24 per month (down from £27) when spreading the cost over 36 months. This represents a total saving of £108 over the contract term, which Sky says is a record low for the device. The 256GB model is included in this deal, while the 512GB variant has dropped to £28 per month (was £31). Both options require a £12 upfront payment and can be paired with Sky's data plans, which are currently half price for the first three months.

Among the standout data plan options are 10GB for £7 (usually £14) and 50GB for £10 (usually £20). Similar deals are also available for the iPhone 16e, which has fallen to £16 per month (was £17) over 36 months. The offers run until June 17, but customers should note that while contracts last 36 months, upgrades are possible from 24 months at no extra cost. Sky also warns that prices 'may change' during the contract term.

Alternative Deals and Expert Opinion

For those seeking a shorter commitment, Carphone Warehouse offers the iPhone Air on a 24-month contract at £35.99 per month with £29 upfront, including 100GB of data. Alternatively, Amazon has reduced the iPhone Air by £250 to £749 (was £999) for the Cloud White, Space Black, or Sky Blue models, with no contract required.

Technology Editor Dave Snelling praised the iPhone Air's design after seeing it at Apple's launch event in California. 'The Air measures in at just 5.6mm thick, making it the thinnest iPhone ever and even slimmer than Samsung's Galaxy S25 Edge. The pictures really don't do the design any justice. This device definitely has the wow factor and will take up far less space in those skinny jeans,' he said.

Snelling also highlighted the phone's performance, noting the A19 Pro chip, which is the same processor found in the top-end iPhone 17 Pro models. 'This super brain will ensure the Air keeps pace with all your daily digital needs and offers decent performance when gaming on the move,' he added.

Considerations Before Buying

However, Snelling pointed out some trade-offs due to the slim design. The iPhone Air features only a single 48MP Fusion camera on the rear, lacking an ultra-wide or telephoto lens. 'Apple promises different focal lengths and portrait mode, and it can shoot 4K video with Dolby Vision, but this is a slight compromise,' he noted.

Battery life is another consideration. 'There's no hiding the fact that a thinner phone means a smaller battery. Apple promises all-day life but admits it won't last as long as the iPhone 17 Pro,' Snelling said. Prospective buyers should weigh these factors against the device's stunning design and current price drop.
