The burgundy iPhone 18 Pro Max is available through a 24-month iD Mobile contract via Mobiles.co.uk, priced at £44.99 per month with a £199 upfront fee, bringing the total cost to £1,321.96 — less than comparable plans currently found on Sky, O2, and EE.
iPhone 18 Pro Max deal details
The £199 upfront cost is a downside, but the overall price for the 256GB handset with 100GB of data is lower than alternatives. EE, for example, starts at £52.04 a month for the 256GB version over 24 months, before adding a data plan, or £1,299 if bought outright. O2 offers a £30 upfront cost on the 256GB version with 30GB of data, starting at £65.31 a month on a 36-month device plan.
Sky’s plan appears cheaper at first glance — £41 a month with a £12 upfront fee for the handset only — but it runs over 36 months, so shoppers would pay more than £1,488 before any data plans are added.
Camera and design highlights
The iPhone 18 Pro Max features a 48MP fusion camera, which lets the main lens open wider for brighter low-light shots or narrow to control depth of field and capture crisp details. The new Burgundy colour is also a draw for many consumers this Christmas.
Protecting the device
For protection, the Casetify Dark Cherry Jelly case, priced from £52, offers robust coverage for the screen, sides, and back cameras. It has been designed to absorb and disperse force to help protect the phone if dropped, with edges designed to resist everyday wear. The case has been tested on a dummy iPhone 18 model and on an iPhone 17 Pro Max, with the same dimensions, and provides more protection around the cameras than an Apple Store case. UGreen is also suggested as a worthy choice for Christmas inspiration.
