The Google Pixel 10a stands as a capable Android smartphone positioned at a mid-range price point, delivering many flagship-like features without the premium cost. However, its resemblance to the previous model, the Pixel 9a, raises questions about its value as a new release.

Design and Build Quality

Constructed with aluminium sides, a glass front, and a high-quality plastic back, the Pixel 10a feels robust and well-made. Notably, it features a completely flat back, eliminating the protruding camera bump common in many handsets. The Pixel 10a is a great mid-range Android phone with a very good screen, long battery life, and an excellent camera, all backed by seven years of software support. Yet, its minimal differences from the Pixel 9a, such as the same chip and design, coupled with the absence of features like wifi 7 and advanced AI, suggest that the older model might be a smarter purchase for budget-conscious buyers.
