Australian frozen yoghurt brand Yo-Chi has opened its first UK store on Notting Hill Gate, London. Thousands of people attended the opening day, which took place on Thursday, to try the self-serve frozen yogurt and açaí.
Menu and pricing
The store sells nine signature frozen yogurt flavours, including vanilla, salted butterscotch, coconut and açaí. Customers can choose from more than 30 toppings, such as 'choc chunk' cookie cake and mini mochis. Yo-Chi says there are thousands of combinations available.
Customers can add as much as they like, but pay based on weight at £2.70 per 100g.
Opening day demand
The brand said the opening followed demand from UK customers to launch this side of the world. First visitors Martha and Olive queued for more than five and a half hours, arriving at 6:30am before the midday launch.
They said: "We're huge fans of Yo-Chi so when we heard it was opening here in London we knew we had to be here first and it's been absolutely worth it. The energy has been amazing, the team has been so welcoming and the yogurt is incredible!"
Milly, who travelled from Manchester, added: "I tried Yo-Chi in Noosa last year and have been raving about it ever since, so I just had to come down for launch day."
Store details
Oliver Allis, co-owner and chief brand officer at Yo-Chi, said: "We are so happy to bring a new positive, inclusive, non-alcohol hangout spot for all ages, and even happier that Londoners feel the same way."
The Notting Hill Gate spot spans more than 2,000 sq ft across two floors and has space for 120 customers. Opening hours are Sunday–Wednesday 10am–10pm, and Thursday–Saturday 10am–11pm.
