Vinted seller's 'bingo' method to make £424 in 30 days

A Vinted seller has revealed a 'bingo card' method she uses to make £424 in 30 days, turning the task of selling pre-loved items into a game. Lauren, who is aiming to save £10,000 by the end of 2026, shared the challenge online, and it's something anyone can replicate each month.

How the bingo card works

Lauren created a small bingo card featuring 30 squares, each displaying a different monetary amount. She explained that the sums could be completed in any sequence, but she needed to earn a specific amount on one day, then a different sum the following day, until every square on the grid had been ticked off.

Some days, Lauren challenged herself to generate £30 through the platform, while other squares featured smaller figures like £3 and £6, meaning not every day required intense effort. Once all squares are completed, the total amounts to £424.

Decluttering a Lush collection

Lauren said she "used to be a huge Lush collector" but has since abandoned this pursuit, recognising that products have expiration dates, making them harder to shift compared to in-date, out-of-stock viral items. She described herself as a former over-consumer, saying: "I used to be a big over-consumer in general. I basically loved anything beauty-related. But then I decided that it was just too much, and over the past year, I've been trying to declutter a lot of my collection."

She displayed some of the Lush products she intends to list, including a large Snow Fairy shower gel, a Dirty body spray, and a Lord of Misrule gift set.

Viewer reactions and safety tips

Viewers remarked that her haul was amongst the "biggest" they'd witnessed, and some queried whether the products had expired and if they remain safe to use. According to Redditors on the Lush Cosmetics forum, many non-fresh Lush products can be used beyond their expiry date, provided they still appear, smell, and feel acceptable. Fresh products, such as face masks, should be thrown away.

Soaps and shower gels frequently remain usable well after their printed date, though bottles should be given a thorough shake. Bath bombs and bath bars are typically safe, though they may lose fragrance or fizz over time. If a bubble bar shows signs of mould, it should be thrown away immediately. Products containing oils or creams, such as massage bars, need to be disposed of promptly, as they can turn rancid and cause skin irritation.
