Victoria Beckham's fashion and beauty label has recorded an operating profit for the first time in its 18-year history. Victoria Beckham Holdings Ltd achieved an operating profit of £7.3 million in 2025, a turnaround from a £1.6 million loss the previous year, according to accounts reported by the Financial Times.
Total revenues surged 15% to £129.8 million in 2025, up from £112.7 million in 2024. The former Spice Girl launched her namesake label in 2008 with a ready-to-wear collection at New York Fashion Week, and branched out into beauty in 2019. Just three years later, the business found itself nearly £54 million in the red.
Recovery after a 'dark, dark time'
Speaking to the Financial Times, Lady Beckham said: "We have all worked hard for a long time for this moment of profitability and growth. We've been very transparent about the problems that we had in the business but have recovered and are now growing at a sensible pace."
She added: "After 20 years, people don't look at my brand as a celebrity brand any more." The Netflix documentary Victoria Beckham, released last year, charted her journey from pop sensation to fashion mogul and highlighted the brand's financial difficulties.
In the series, she said: "When I started this fashion business 18 years ago, I didn't know a lot about the industry. I was scared. I was scared because I loved fashion and it was always my dream, but I knew what people thought – 'She was a pop star. She's married to a footballer. Who does she think she is?'"
David Beckham's intervention
After the venture plunged "tens of millions into the red", her husband Sir David Beckham stepped in to rescue the business. He revealed in the documentary: "For her to have to come to me and say, 'Can I have some... we need some more money, the business needs more money' – that was hard for both of us because I didn't have the money to keep doing this."
Lady Beckham continued: "I almost lost everything and that was a dark, dark time. I used to cry before I went to work every day because I felt like a firefighter." Speaking about her husband's financial support, she added: "If he hadn't believed in me, I wouldn't still have a business now."
Investment and honours
In 2017, Lady Beckham secured a £30 million investment by selling 30% of the company to NEO Investment Partners, who then launched a restructure. This included tackling what she previously described as "mind-blowing waste", such as spending around 70,000 US dollars (£52,000) annually on office plants.
Since its launch, Lady Beckham has dressed celebrities including Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez and Kate Winslet, while her former Spice Girl bandmate Mel C recently wore the label to her wedding ceremony in Sydney. In 2011, Victoria Beckham claimed the designer brand of the year title at the British Fashion Awards.
She was honoured with an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 2017 New Year Honours, and later received a Chevaliere de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in France in 2026, both in recognition of her contribution to the fashion world.
