Vanilla opens first Scottish store at Glasgow's St Enoch Centre

Vanilla has officially opened its first standalone Scottish store at Glasgow's St Enoch Centre this morning (Friday, August 28). The 2,000 sq ft ground-floor unit stocks wardrobe must-haves from both the Blue Vanilla and Pink Vanilla labels.

Brand history and availability

Both labels are owned by the Vanilla Group and are available to buy online, as well as at major retailers including Debenhams, New Look and Matalan. Blue Vanilla launched in 2014 with the aim of bringing fresh, seasonal trends to the high street at affordable prices, becoming known for its trend-led workwear, everyday staples and occasion dresses.

Sister brand Pink Vanilla followed in 2019, targeting a younger generation with fun, affordable fashion inspired by street style and pop culture. The new St Enoch opening means Scottish shoppers can now browse both brands in person in one location, with womenswear and accessories on the shelves.

UK presence and Vogue recognition

Vanilla operates 11 branches across England, where it was founded. The Glasgow addition takes the UK total to 12. The brand was recognised in the June 2026 issue of British Vogue, which praised its "trend-led approach" and "accessible price point", alongside collections that "blend modern femininity with high street inspiration."

Blue Vanilla's website also claims its collections are "loved around the world", shipping to more than 150 countries globally.

Reaction from the centre and brand

Michelle Burns, Vanilla's head of retail stores, said: "We're delighted to be opening Vanilla at St. Enoch Centre and bringing Blue Vanilla and Pink Vanilla to the heart of Glasgow. St. Enoch Centre is an excellent location for us, with a strong fashion offer and a prominent city-centre position. We're looking forward to opening the doors on Friday and welcoming shoppers into our only store in Scotland."

Craig Stewart, Centre director at St. Enoch Centre, added: "Vanilla is a fantastic addition to St. Enoch Centre and further strengthens the range of fashion brands available to our shoppers. We're particularly pleased that the retailer has chosen St. Enoch Centre as the home of its only Scottish store and look forward to seeing customers discover both Blue Vanilla and Pink Vanilla when it opens this Friday."

Recent Scottish high street additions

The Scottish high street has recently welcomed several new additions despite turbulence this year. Sephora opened its first two Scottish branches at Silverburn in Glasgow and the St James Quarter in Edinburgh. Pureseoul, described as the "UK's largest Korean beauty brand", opened its first Scottish store last week, taking its nationwide total to 18. A new 'sober bar' is also set for Edinburgh's Queensferry Street, with signs spotted for a Japanese-French fusion called 'Brioche'.
