Trunki Ride-On Kids Suitcase Slashed to £31 at Amazon Today Only

Amazon has slashed the price of the popular Trunki kids' ride-on suitcase and cabin bag to £30.99, down from £39.99, in a deal that ends today, July 17. The case, a number one best-seller on Amazon with over 100 units sold in the past month, has earned praise from parents for its functionality and durability.

Design and Features

The Trunki comes in a variety of bright colours, including blue, red, and yellow, with some designs featuring characters like Peppa Pig. Prices vary by design. The suitcase is designed for children to sit on and wheel themselves around the airport, keeping them entertained during travel. It includes a multi-functional strap that allows parents to tow tired toddlers or throw the case over their shoulder when needed.

With dimensions of 47cm x 32cm x 21cm, it is a perfect cabin-sized carry-on (depending on the airline) and offers 18 litres of storage capacity. The lightweight yet durable high-impact plastic shell ensures longevity.

Comparison with Other Brands

Trunki, originally featured on Dragons' Den, is the original ride-on luggage brand. Competitors like Samsonite offer similar products, such as a dinosaur-themed ride-on case. Other alternatives include the Micro Ride On Suitcase Eazy Allrounder, available at Argos for £124.95, which converts into a scooter. Trunki also offers themed cases with Disney characters, Spiderman, and unicorns, but these are priced at £95, significantly higher than the current Amazon deal.

Customer Reviews

Parents have rated the Trunki highly on Amazon. One reviewer said: “Can't go wrong with a Trunki. Robust and keeps the kids amazed. Nice and easy to use and take everywhere. Best price on Amazon. Quick delivery from this supplier and packaged very well.”

A grandmother commented: “Fantastic for holidays or sleepovers. Great gift, our granddaughter absolutely loves this and it's quite roomy, lots of space for clothes and favourite toys. She loves to sit on or pull along, a great gift for children.”

Another parent noted: “I was concerned it may not take my son's weight or that the handle used to pull it would snap, but it is really sturdy and well built. I didn't think he would use the horns, but he reached right down and grabbed onto them! The colours are great. For the size we can get quite a bit in it.”

One shopper offered advice: “Both our children enjoy riding on the Trunkis (either kicking themselves along or being pulled along), although I would say that they aren't suitable for pulling along a small child at a train station or airport. Our four-year-old sits on hers perfectly well and we were able to pull her along, but our 18-month-old very often loses her balance when playing on hers at home, so we didn't risk letting her use it out and about (much to her annoyance!).”
