Tribal Society Opens Third Store at Liverpool Shopping Park
Tribal Society's Third Store Opens at Liverpool Shopping Park

Tribal Society, the premium menswear and kidswear brand, is expanding with a third store at Liverpool Shopping Park on Edge Lane. The brand already operates in Liverpool’s Metquarter and Chester’s Eastgate Square.

Founded in 2018 by Old Swan-born Adam Cummings, Tribal Society specialises in handmade men’s jeans, the graphic-print TTECH collection, hoodies, T-shirts, and accessories. Cummings started the brand after spotting a gap in the market for stylish, quality clothing at accessible prices.

Community-Driven Growth

The brand has become a familiar name across Liverpool, regularly drawing large queues for free giveaways. In 2024, fans queued outside Clayton Square for a drop, and the previous year’s giveaway saw queues through Williamson Square. Last year’s Black Friday event saw hundreds queue outside McDonald’s at Liverpool ONE, known as “Holy Corner.”

In an Instagram post, the team announced: “Wow!!! this is actually happening!!! Our third Tribal Store. Liverpool. #Edgelane.” The post highlighted that much of the store’s design came from community feedback, stating, “This isn't just another shop. It's the first store built from ideas our community helped shape. This becomes the blueprint for every Tribal Society store we open in the future.”

Expansion and Support

The new store is listed as “opening soon,” with job adverts for a floor manager, store supervisor, and sales advisor. The team added: “Liverpool, let’s build something special.”

Adam Cummings previously spoke to the ECHO on Black Friday 2025, noting that some fans queued from just after midnight for the 10am release. He said, “Since we opened our shop in the Metquarter at the back end of 2021 we’ve just had unbelievable support from the community. Liverpool especially has a very one-for-all mentality so we wanted to do things differently when it comes to Black Friday.”

Cummings added, “It’s unbelievable seeing how many people have shown up. It’s so difficult, with TikTok and Instagram, to grab attention and then retain that attention. There’s barely any demand for anything anymore because things are so easily accessible.”

He noted that 300 to 400 people queued from 2am, saying, “I don’t think there’s many companies around at the moment that are able to create that type of demand.” Tribal Society now has over 130,000 Instagram followers, up from 4,000 at its start.
