Toby Carvery has launched six new products in Iceland supermarkets, and fans are racing to get their hands on them, as it's like bringing the restaurant to your home.
Millions of Brits love visiting a Toby Carvery restaurant on any day of the week to tuck into one of their delicious carvery roast dinners. The restaurant chain prides itself on being the "home of the roast and carvery", where it serves slow-cooked joints of meat alongside delicious roast potatoes and crispy Yorkshire puddings.
But now, you don't have to travel all the way to your nearest Toby Carvery to enjoy offerings from the restaurant, as they've released a range of new products available in Iceland. The new products were shared on social media, and the six dishes range from sides to whole meals you can enjoy at home.
New Range Details
An Instagram post shared by New Food UK revealed the delicious new range, which seems to largely focus on the theme of pigs in blankets. You can pick up quick snacks like crispy battered pigs in blankets and mini Yorkshire puddings with pigs in blankets inside each one, as well as bigger dishes like macaroni cheese with pigs in blankets, chicken, and BBQ sauce.
There's also a pack of two "festive carvery pies" stuffed with chicken, a pig in blanket, stuffing, and gravy, as well as a decadent slow-cooked beef-loaded Yorkshire pudding, which comes with beef, gravy, and dauphinoise potatoes, all stuffed inside a giant Yorkshire pudding.
By far the strangest offering on the menu, however, is the second type of loaded Yorkshire pudding. Called the All Day Breakfast Loaded Yorkie, the dish features a giant Yorkshire pudding filled with pigs in blankets, hash browns, and baked beans.
Fan Reactions
Commenters on the New Foods UK Instagram post were torn over the new range of products. Some said they sounded delicious and responded by tagging their friends and family so they could go to Iceland to buy them.
However, others were less convinced, saying the range should go in the "bin" because it didn't sound appealing to them at all. Others also pointed out that a range of products with pigs in blankets as the focus, especially the festive pies, shouldn't be in the supermarkets in August as it's not close enough to Christmas yet.
Iceland itself posted about the new range last week, announcing that the new Toby Carvery dishes were due to launch on Tuesday (1st September) in Iceland and Food Warehouse stores.
They wrote: "Toby Carvery is officially landing in Iceland and Food Warehouse stores from 1st September. Your favourite Toby Carvery restaurant meals are getting an Iceland twist."
Commenters on Iceland's post were much more excited about the new collaboration, with many saying they "love" Toby Carvery and would be heading down to try the new range immediately. One person said: "Oh yeah, I love Toby Carvery!" Another posted multiple heart-eyes emojis and added: "Oh my god!" And a third simply shared their excitement, writing: "Yesss!!"
The Toby Carvery range at Iceland and Food Warehouse officially launches on Tuesday (September 1), but could be in some select stores now.
