Tesco is offering free ice lollies to up to one million Clubcard members as part of a promotion ending next week, while record-breaking heat continues across the UK. The country has seen scorching temperatures this week, with the Met Office issuing red and amber warnings and the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) placing a red heat health alert over the past few days.
How to Claim Your Free Ice Lolly
Over a million Tesco Clubcard members will receive a digital voucher in the Tesco app, allowing them to get one free ice lolly. The voucher appears under the coupon section. A choice of 11 different Tesco ice lollies is included, with coupons valid until midnight on Wednesday, July 1. Vouchers can be redeemed in large stores and Tesco Express sites, but not online.
The offer is part of Tesco's Freebie Thursdays promotion, which gives away coupons every Thursday for different products. Previous rewards included free cookies and Walkers crisps. However, not every customer gets a freebie each week; recipients are chosen based on their past shopping habits.

New Clubcard for Teens
Separately, Tesco launched a Clubcard for 16- and 17-year-olds on Wednesday, June 24. The new membership allows teenagers to access Clubcard Prices and collect points that can be converted into vouchers. The move follows criticism that younger customers were excluded from cheaper grocery prices due to age restrictions on loyalty schemes.
Teenagers must be invited by a parent or guardian using their own Clubcard account. Shama Wilson, Tesco Group's membership and loyalty director, said: "We are delighted to be giving younger customers access to Tesco Clubcard for the first time, and we have no doubt that it will prove popular with 16 and 17-year-olds, whether they are shopping in one of our 'big Tesco' or 'little Tesco' stores. From today, our new Clubcard for 16-17s members will not only be able to get Clubcard Prices in-store, including our iconic Tesco lunchtime meal deal for just £3.85, but also collect points that they can turn into vouchers for money off their in-store shopping."
