Swansea's Coast Cafe to Close After 12 Years

A popular cafe in Swansea has announced it will close its doors after 12 years of operation. Coast Cafe, located at Trawler Road in the marina, will serve its final customers during the weekend of July 4 and 5.

Top-Rated Coffee Spot

The independent business has consistently ranked among the top ten coffee and tea spots in Swansea on TripAdvisor. A recent review described the cafe as serving "one of the best cappuccinos in a long time." The owners have encouraged patrons to visit before the last weekend to bid farewell.

Owner's Statement

A statement posted online on behalf of Rebecca Jones and the Coast Team read: "After 12 years of running this incredible business I have come to the decision to close the doors at Coast. It hasn't come lightly, and I have loved the ups and downs of running my own business for over a decade, but my life has evolved, so have my needs, and have decided to take a step back."

Rebecca added: "I want to take this moment to thank all our customers, staff members and suppliers for everything. If you have popped in for one coffee whilst visiting Swansea or come in more than the full-time staff, thank you, thank you, thank you. It has been great getting to know everyone and running this business for the last decade (plus two) and will truly miss everyone, but mostly, free coffee on tap."

New Beginnings

Many have expressed sadness at the news, but a new venture is on the horizon. The statement continued: "We have a new, amazing young lady taking over and operating her successful Swansea based business from the premises, all will be revealed."
