Shoppers rush to buy £13.49 wearable blanket as cold weather arrives

With cooler temperatures and rainy days set to hit much of Scotland from the start of September, shoppers are turning to a £13.49 wearable blanket to stay cosy without turning on the heating. The Sienna Oversized Wearable Blanket from Amazon has attracted more than 29,000 reviews, with buyers describing it as "the best thing since sliced bread."

Design and features

The oversized hoodie is made from soft polyester with a plush Sherpa lining, designed to feel warm and cosy against the skin. It comes in a selection of colours, including Blush Pink, Baby Blue and Mink Brown, and has a soft, fluffy finish that shoppers say feels far more expensive than its price tag suggests.

Available in a one-size-fits-all design, the blanket measures 68 inches around the waist and 45.5 inches in length. Long sleeves with elasticated cuffs help keep chilly draughts at bay, while a deep hood provides extra warmth when needed. The roomy fit makes it ideal for curling up on the sofa, and a large kangaroo pocket keeps cold hands warm.

Shopper reactions

The Sienna Hoodie has earned a 4.5 out of five-star rating from buyers. One shopper said: "I am so deeply in love with this hoodie. It is saving me an absolute fortune in heating bills this autumn/winter, and I even sleep in it on particularly cold nights. Am using it so much I think I need to buy another one - or two."

Another explained: "Before I ordered this, I was thinking a lot about other companies, the price of these was lower, so I decided to buy this one and I'm so happy with my choice! The hoodie blanket is so soft, warm, nice colour and so big, I'm size 20UK and still have a lot of space. This will be my favourite autumn home outfit, cup of warm tea, hoodie blanket, candles and Netflix, I'm ready."

A third buyer added: "This is wonderful, I love it, within a minute you feel noticeably warmer and within a few minutes absolutely toasty." However, some were less impressed, with one noting: "It's soft, warm, and very comfortable. But some of the seams are loose and there was so much fluff. I'm scared to wash it."
