Serial Flip-Flop Wearer Joins 100K Five-Star Reviews for £35 Pair
Serial Flip-Flop Wearer Joins 100K Reviews for £35 Pair

There's a running joke with friends and family that come rain or shine, I'm wearing flip flops. Easy to slip on and off when running out the door or popping outside, despite being a serial sandal stan, I'd never invested in a good quality pair - until I came across Archies Arch Support Flip Flops.

For years I'd stuck to £2 Primark pairs, never realising that investing more is totally worth it and I'd been missing out. As soon as they arrived and I slipped my feet in, it became clear why the £35 shoes have over 100,000 five star reviews from customers.

Archies is an Australian brand, but shoppers can find the Arch Support Flip Flops at Amazon or on their UK website. They're a number one bestseller on Amazon, stocked in UK sizes 3 to 14. I opted for the brown colour, but there are more than 16 to choose from and I've already got my eyes on lemon and sky blue.

Why Archies Flip Flops Stand Out

Unlike the typical flip flops I was used to wearing, Archies have built in arch support and a specialised closed cell foam footbed. This moulds to your feet over time and after a few wears it feels like they've been personally tailored to fit your exact foot size.

The straps are also adjustable, stretching to fit all feet, without any rubbing or in-between toe blisters forming. Archies do state that they are a snug fit and I would agree, so those that are a normally a half size should go for the size up. I'm a size 5 and found them to fit perfectly, managing to not be too tight but also without the feeling they will fly off my feet as I'm walking.

Comfort and Style Combined

Designed by physiotherapists they are without a doubt the most comfortable flip flops I've ever worn - and they look the most stylish, too. The sole of the Archies Arch Support Flip Flops is slightly thicker which encourages optimal foot posture, but I found it's also really flattering as the height helps to elongate legs.

I'm yet to wear them on holiday around a pool or beach, but the waterproof design seems a very practical option and as I've worn them on long walks without any foot pain, they would be ideal for a city break. They are more expensive than bog-standard flip flops but in my opinion, they are worth every penny as I see them lasting years.

Customer Reviews Speak Volumes

Among the 120,000 reviews on the brand's website, one person wrote: "These flip flops are absolutely worth the cost. I have bought three pairs because they are so comfortable." "My first pair I have had for over 3 years and they are still good as new. These flops helped my plantar fasciitis and make walking so much more comfortable," they added.

A second person shared: "I wore them all day the first day and felt like I was walking on a cloud. I didn't even realise the straps were adjustable until I got them, but made for a perfect fit. I'm already pondering my next colour."

They may not be for everyone as someone else said they are used to 'much firmer footwear'. They explained 'they are not as comfortable as I thought they would be'.

This wasn't the case for another customer who commented: "These are honestly the best flip flops I’ve ever worn. They’re very comfortable, mould to your feet and are great quality. They’re very comfortable sizing - I’m a five and they fitted perfectly." "I walked in these on holiday and the sole thickness was great. Didn’t feel uncomfortable once. I love the appearance and have now got them in two colours. Best flip flops I’ve ever had," they concluded.

Alternatives Worth Considering

Before falling in love with the Archies Arch Support Flip Flops, I did have my eyes on these Havaianas Sim Square Toe Flip Flops in brown. They're priced at £30 from ASOS and the square finish is a really trendy choice.

Fit Flop are another popular brand with shoppers and these Ergonomic Flip Flops are a bestseller, with Fit Flop stating over one million have been sold. The £32 pair come in several colours including metallic finishes and a colour blocking design.

For me, my heart is now set on Archies Arch Support Flip Flops as my favourite summer shoe and beyond.
