Sainsbury's £20 Linen Trousers Praised by Over 60s Shoppers

Shoppers over the age of 60 are heaping praise on a pair of £20 trousers from Sainsbury's. The Smart Stripe Linen Blend Co-ord Wide Leg Trousers have been described as "gorgeous" and "flattering", with many saying they are perfect for holidays.

The trousers, which have been reduced from £25, are available in selected stores and online. Sainsbury's also offers matching waistcoats for a coordinated summer look.

Featuring a wide-leg fit, side pockets, and a beige, orange, black, and white striped design, the trousers are made from 55% linen and 45% viscose. Sainsbury's describes them as "a breezy summer staple you'll love wearing".

The lightweight trousers gained attention on social media after a TikTok video by creator Debby Jane Turner. Debby, in her 60s, said: "I picked up these gorgeous trousers at Sainsbury's. Definitely would pack for any holiday destination." She styled them with a white vest, bangles, a red necklace, a brown blazer, and a white bag.

One commenter said: "Love the whole outfit and the way you put them together is perfection." Another added: "These are lovely, I've not seen them in my local so will have to look further."

On the Sainsbury's website, Merce, over 65, gave a five-star review, calling the trousers "flattering and comfortable". However, a four-star reviewer noted: "Loved the colour and quality, but as only 5ft 2 they were far too wide and looked like clown trousers on me."
