Primark's current Christmas homeware range offers several festive pieces for £5 or less, from vintage-style baubles to a wooden countdown train.
Shopping writer Ray Bonsall picked out five budget-friendly items that bring traditional festive touches to a home, including oversized velvet bows, classic baubles and hanging ornaments.
Baubles, gingerbread and a velvet bow
A four-pack of Festive Scene Christmas Baubles costs £4.50. Each bauble features a picturesque festive scene with a vintage-style charm. They can be used on a Christmas tree, tied along a bannister, or arranged in a decorative glass bowl as a dining table centrepiece.
A Plush Chef Gingerbread Hanging Decoration is priced at £1. The plush gingerbread man wears a tiny chef's hat and can be placed on a kitchen cupboard handle or used as a tag to finish off a wrapped present.
The Festive Velvet Christmas Bow Decoration costs £3. The oversized fabric bow has a neatly gathered centre and long, flowing tails in a rich red shade. It can be clipped to the top of a tree as a topper, styled across a mantelpiece, or fastened to a door or wreath.
Stocking and countdown train
A Hanging Family Christmas Stocking is priced at £5, the top of the budget. It features a red and white striped pattern with a fluffy faux fur cuff and a hanging loop, suitable for lining up along a fireplace or hanging from a bedpost.
The Santa Christmas Train Countdown Decoration also costs £5. The wooden train includes Santa artwork, miniature Christmas tree details, and countdown blocks to track the days until the 25th. It is described as an interactive, nostalgic piece ideal for shelves, side tables or mantelpieces.
