Shoppers are turning to Primark for a budget-friendly laundry hamper that closely resembles a premium version sold at John Lewis and other retailers. The Primark Dual Laundry Hamper, priced at £18, offers similar features to the Joseph Joseph two-compartment basket that costs up to £115.
TikTok user @Shanroseduffie shared a video praising the Primark alternative, saying she had long wanted the Joseph Joseph version but refused to pay £100. The Primark hamper includes removable baskets held in place by magnets, a lid, and a cloth exterior, mirroring the design of the more expensive model.
Despite minor creasing on the fabric, Shan noted that the savings of nearly £100 made it worthwhile. She assembled the hamper in minutes and gave it a 'ten out of ten' rating. Commenters echoed her enthusiasm, with one stating the Joseph Joseph version 'just falls apart' and another calling it a 'great find'.
The Primark hamper is available in cream or grey and can be ordered via click-and-collect or checked for stock using the retailer's online tool. It is sold in most Primark stores with a homeware department.
