Primark has implemented a major pricing overhaul across all its UK stores, reducing prices on hundreds of items as part of its new 'Iconic Value' range. The initiative, effective from July 20, 2026, covers womenswear, menswear, and childrenswear, with the lower prices continuing into the autumn/winter collection.
New Lower Prices Across Categories
Key examples of the newly priced items include jeans for £9, cotton pyjamas from £7, and the popular Primark velvet plush leggings for £6. In menswear, sweatshirts and joggers are now £10 each, with hoodies from £9. Children's clothing highlights include ribbed tops and bottoms from £2 and leisure tops and bottoms from £5 each.
Quality and Style Improvements
Primark stated that the lower prices are accompanied by "investments and improvements to quality, fit and style" across the ranges. The retailer also introduced new season styles and "innovative" fabrics. Matt Houston, Chief Customer Officer at Primark, said: "Value matters to customers today more than ever and for more than fifty years customers have trusted us as the destination on the high street for great value fashion at prices you can’t find anywhere else. We want to continue to lead the way in shaping what affordable fashion looks like and give our customers the confidence that they can always trust Primark for the very best prices but without compromising on style or on quality."
In-Store Signage and Branding
In stores, new signage has been created to highlight key ranges with the 'Iconic Value' branding, making it easier for customers to identify the reduced-price items.
Background: The Primark Scene Launch
Earlier in January 2026, Primark launched a youth-focused label called 'The Primark Scene' to better serve teens and young people. This collection, developed over 18 months with input from young people, offers trend-led affordable styles in selected stores across Ireland, UK, Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Netherlands, and the US. The range includes outerwear, knitwear, skirts, dresses, denim, tops, and shirts, featuring low-rise jeans, wide-leg silhouettes, cropped styles, and oversized slouch fits with distinctive colors and graphics.
