A savvy traveller named Sham has highlighted that Poundland stocks 100ml suncreams, ensuring travellers can pass through airport security with hand luggage without stress. The 100ml liquid rule often forces holidaymakers to pay for hold luggage when their suncreams or toiletries exceed the limit, but Sham's discovery offers a budget-friendly solution.
Poundland's Travel Range
Sham shared that Poundland sells mini products priced at £2, including suncream, sprays, and travel-sized shampoos and conditioners. She quipped: "We know Poundland's not all a pound anymore." Additionally, she spotted towel clips for just £1 to prevent towels from blowing away in windy conditions. A Malibu fake tan was also available for £2, which Sham expressed interest in trying before her holiday.
Shopper Reactions
In the comments section, one user wrote: "Ah, I need to get to Poundland! Going away soon, so these would be perfect." Another user commented: "Buying s**** to take on holiday is the most British thing ever. You don't need half that s***, it will be left in the bag in the hotel the whole holiday." Sham countered: "It saves a right packet taking the small ones, perfect amount for your hol."
Sun Safety Advice
The NHS advises that sunburn increases the risk of skin cancer and can occur even on cloudy days in the UK. They recommend spending time in the shade between 11am and 3pm from March to October, using at least factor 30 sunscreen with four-star UVA protection, and reapplying frequently. Sunscreen should not be used past its expiry date, indicated by a symbol of an open jar with a number of months.
