The Potting Shed, a beloved Sunday dinner destination at Green Fingers Garden Centre in South Shields, will be rebranded as Leaf & Loaf starting in September. The change includes a complete transformation of the venue and an updated menu, though traditional Sunday roasts will remain a staple.
New Concept and Menu
The team announced the rebrand in a Facebook post, revealing plans for a 'fresh new garden bistro, artisan bakery and coffee house concept.' The menu will retain many favourite dishes while adding filled croissants, Italian focaccia sandwiches, artisan brunch toasts, seasonal specials, homemade desserts, and a daily bakery counter with breads, quiches, sausage rolls, scones, and sweet treats.
Sunday Dinners Evolve
Sunday dining will also evolve, with traditional lunches joined by sharing roast boards, indulgent desserts, and more bakery items. The venue will close briefly at the end of this month for refurbishment, aiming for a 'warm, contemporary garden inspired interior.'
The owners emphasized, 'This isn’t about replacing what people love. It’s about building on it.'
