Pets at Home has launched a new Halloween range for pets, featuring costumes, bedding, toys and treats with a ghoulish twist. The collection includes a £18 Coffin Pet Bed, a £20 Spider Pet Bed, and a £8 Pumpkin Dog Costume, among dozens of new additions for dog and cat owners.
Spooky beds for spooky snoozes
One standout item is the £18 Coffin Pet Bed, shaped like a tiny coffin and complete with a 'Do Not Disturb' sign, ideal for cats and small dogs. For larger dogs, the Spider Pet Bed is available in medium for £20 or large for £32, featuring a soft, round bed with creepy spider legs. Cats can curl up in the Pumpkin Pet Bed or the Monster Brew Cauldron Pet Bed, priced at £16 and £20 respectively.
One buyer praised the cauldron bed, calling it 'chunky kitty approved.' They added: "Good size for the kitty with a fuller build. Comfy. Aways makes me laugh when she pops her head over the top."
Costumes for every pup
Among the outfits, the Little Pumpkin Dog Sweater is a top pick, a cosy cream knit with 'Little Pumpkin' embroidered in orange across the back, available in sizes XS to L. It has proven popular on Pets at Home socials, with one pet parent commenting: "The little pumpkin jumper has my heart." Another added: "We are obsessed." One shopper expressed disappointment at the lack of options for small animals, writing: "Nothing for small animals?"
The £8 Pumpkin Dog Costume transforms dogs into a miniature pumpkin with a matching hat, available in small, medium and large. For less enthusiastic pups, the £2 Pumpkin Dog Bowtie offers a more understated option. Other costumes include the £8 Vampire Dog Cape, the £10 Glow in the Dark Skeleton Dog Onesie, the £10 Lil' Devil Dog Hoodie, and the £8 Bat Dog Costume.
Toys and treats for cats and dogs
Cats can enjoy six £9 Maleficent toys packed with catnip, crinkles, bells, ribbons and feathers, while dogs can get £12 Gremlins squeaky toys featuring Gizmo. There are also £6 Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees plush toys for pets who prefer more terrifying Halloween entertainment.
Elsewhere on the high street, Sainsbury's has a £6 Halloween Rollneck Jumper, Tesco's £9.99 Pumpkin Dog Jumper is another option, and B&M has unveiled a Halloween range for pets with prices starting from £1.
Pets at Home recommends introducing outfits gradually, keeping sessions short and positive, and watching for signs of stress such as tucked tails, flattened ears, lip licking or yawning – and never forcing a pet to dress up if they're unhappy. The full Halloween range is available to browse and buy on the Pets at Home website now.
