Nike Trainers Under £50 Praised as 'a Steal' by Shoppers

The Nike Revolution 8 Road Running Shoes have been reduced to £47 from £59.99 at Sports Direct, with shoppers describing them as 'genuinely the most comfortable shoes (they've) ever worn'. Designed for everyday runs, the trainers are available in sizes 6 to 14 and a range of colours.

Features and Design

The shoes feature a lightweight, breathable upper with cushioning engineered for daily movement. The mesh upper promotes airflow, while the foam midsole and cushioned outsole provide support and comfort, making them suitable for regular road runs, gym workouts, and walks.

With a 10mm heel drop, they are built for road surfaces and positioned as a reliable daily trainer rather than a specialist racing shoe. The low-top design offers a classic silhouette, while updated touch points around the heel aim to make them easier to slip on and off. Finished with Nike's Swoosh logo, the trainers suit both running gear and casual outfits.

Shopper Reviews

While Sports Direct does not carry direct reviews for this model, the Nike website features a five-star review that reads: "These are genuinely the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I really have never written a review on any shoe before, but if you're thinking about getting these, get it. Trust me. At this price too, it's a steal."

A second customer commented: "I use these shoes every day to work out and they're fantastic!" A third added: "This shoe works for me very well. I'm a walker and usually buy runners shoes as they allow my foot to spread out more comfortably than the Nikes that are sold as walking shoes. Fit was exact, comfort is excellent and I will be interested to see how many miles I can get out of them. The pop of orange on the swoosh is great, as orange is my favourite colour. All in all, for me, it was a great shoe."

Some shoppers noted minor reservations. One reviewer said: "Comfy, light, great daily. Shoe soles have been making a popping noise since day one. I tried everything to fix it." Another commented: "I got these shoes as a Christmas gift. I usually wear a 9.5 or 10 across all brands. I received a size 10 and my toes were squished to the end and also height wise. I do like how light the shoes are and they have great arch support."
