M&S Shoppers Rush to Buy Two New Rosé Wines from Foodhall

Marks & Spencer shoppers have expressed great excitement after the supermarket chain unveiled two new additions to its wine selection. With the Bank Holiday weekend approaching, M&S took to Instagram to showcase bottles of its "hip hip rosé" wine now available in its Foodhalls.

New Rosé Wines from Portugal and France

"It wouldn't be summer without a crisp glass of rosé in hand, and we've got two new bottles you won't want to miss," the retailer announced. The first is a Portuguese 2025 rosé crafted exclusively for M&S. "The Lisboa Bonita Rosé enjoys aromas of ripe red and black fruits with vanilla notes and is produced by a family-owned Portuguese winery with vineyards planted at altitude to benefit from excellent sun exposure and Atlantic Ocean climates," M&S explained.

The second is a French rosé, also from 2025. "While the organic and vegan Trouble cloudy rosé is a little taste of French summer, packed with strawberry and raspberry flavour and a gentle citrus lift," M&S continued. "Plus, as it's unfiltered and unfined, it's left naturally cloudy, giving it a beautifully soft texture."

Pairing Suggestions and Customer Reactions

The retailer suggests pairing both varieties with seafood, grilled chicken salads, puddings, and "all your favourite picky bits." They concluded by asking shoppers: "Which are you filling your fridge with this summer?" Both wines can also be purchased online via Ocado.

Reacting to the news, one Instagram user who had already tasted one of the wines said: "Had the cloudy rosé on Saturday in the garden, it was amazing, new favourite." Another commented: "Ooh can't wait to try." A third wrote: "These look interesting!" while a fourth added: "Ooh I'm due a trip to M&S Foodhall."

Detailed Wine Descriptions

On its website, M&S provides more details. "Lisboa Bonita rosé is a bright, fruit-forward Portuguese wine with crisp red berry notes and a hint of watermelon. Light-bodied and refreshing, it finishes clean with gentle acidity, making it an easy-drink alongside seafood and salads." For the Trouble cloudy rosé: "A fresh and fruity still rosé with soft strawberry and raspberry flavours, a gentle citrus lift and a clean, dry finish. Made from hand-harvested grapes that are gently pressed at cool temperatures, the wine is fermented slowly to keep the flavours bright and fresh. Unfiltered and unfined, it's left naturally cloudy, giving it a soft texture and an easy, laidback style. Best enjoyed chilled, try it with grilled chicken salad, or pizza."
