M&S shoppers praise £28 cord trousers as autumn staple

Marks and Spencer shoppers have praised the retailer's Cord Straight Leg Trousers as an ideal addition for the new season. Priced at £28, the trousers are available in five colours: navy, black, chocolate, claret and dark khaki. They come in sizes six to 24, with options for extra-short, short/petite, regular, and long leg lengths.

Shopper reviews highlight comfort and fit

The product description from Marks and Spencer reads: "For a timeless casual look, these cotton-rich corduroy trousers are a perfect pair. The high-waisted design features a traditional button and zip fastening. Straight legs provide a flattering shape, while added stretch in the fabric offers an extra comfy feel."

Many customers have shared positive feedback. One shopper said: "Love these cords very comfortable. This is second pair I’ve bought." Another added: "My 'Go To' trousers! The variety in size, length and colour for these cords is why I have three pairs on the go at the moment. This new pair replaces an older pair that just wore out after four years."

Another customer commented: "Nice cut, soft corduroy and comfortable to wear. Ready for autumn wardrobe." A fourth wrote: "Another good pair of cord trousers to add to my collection. They fit well and come in an arrey of autumnal and classic colours."

Some shoppers note issues with fabric and fit

Despite the positive reviews, some shoppers have raised concerns about the material and fit. One said: "Trousers were a good fit and seemed well made, but I didn't like the fact that the material appears shiny. Personal preference but just something to be aware of."

Another added: "Comfortable and great fit. Cord fabric is more shiny in a certain light, which I wasn't expecting, which makes it look a bit cheap compared to my other 100% cotton cords."

Someone else commented: "Like the colour and fabric of these cord jeans. Fit comfortably on the waist for me but the top of the thigh is too baggy, makes them baggy on the hip and at the back under the seat just where they should curve in. So unfortunately had to return."

Other retailers offer similar cord trousers

Marks and Spencer is not the only high street store selling cord trousers ahead of autumn.
